Codemasters redevelops this franchise, and promises a deeper career mode as well as the presence of a greater number of classic vehicles (20 in total) and visual improvements over the previous one F1 game like revisions of lighting systems, skies, clouds and atmospheric conditions. F1 2018 has all the official teams, pilots and 21 circuits of the 2018 season, also returning this year the French and German Grand Prix to the calendar, which means that you can compete in the Paul Ricard circuit and in the Hockenheimring. Among the classic F1 cars or cars are the 2009 Brawn, the 2003 Williams, the legendary McLaren M23D, the Ferrari 312 T2 by Niki Lauda, the 1972 Lotus by Emerson Fittipaldi or the Lotus 79 by Mario Andretti from 1978 among others.
- The 2018 season sees the return of the French Grand Prix for the first time since 2008, at the Paul Ricard Circuit, which hosted the French Grand Prix in 1990.
